Hi, I’m Jack. I’m a copywriter at Dentsu Creative, where I create 360 campaigns and craft branding language for Disney Vacation Club. When I’m not writing on the Mouse’s behalf, I maintain our team’s style guide and I’m the last set of eyes on most of what ships.
While writing is my main thing, I’m fascinated by the why behind the words – who a brand is speaking to, and what they’re really trying to say. Before advertising, I ran marketing and content strategy at two small startups: a small business intelligence firm where I started as an analyst before raising my hand for marketing projects, and then a wellness app.
Before any of that, rather than honing my craft in portfolio school or English classes, I ran UCLA’s satire paper. And I never really quit writing fake news.
When I’m OOO, I’m usually rolling out pasta dough for tortellini or up high in the Sierra, scrambling up peaks so I can write trip reports nobody asked for. Or being chased by a bison.
What’s next? More writing, and more of the thinking that happens before the writing. Drop me a note here if you’d like to collaborate, and if you’re in LA, let’s grab coffee.
